M1942 Heer Single Decal German Helmet

This is a great looking M1942 Heer Single Decal German Helmet.  This WWII German helmet retains around 90-95% of its original dark green rough texture factory finish.  The helmet retains its original M1931 steel banded liner.  The liner is size 57 and is date stamped 1943.  The liner leather is in nice overall condition with typical staining and wear.  The liner has its original drawstring however it is frayed and in fragile condition.  The pins appear to be original to the helmet.  It should be noted that the front right pin is missing the washer.  It's hard to say if the washer was left off as installation or if it was removed post war therefore we make no representation.  The Heer decal look great and rates at 90% or better.  There is a hand painted Tricolor on the right side.  The Tricolor doesn't show aging or patina to be considered a war time done addition, therefore it was likely done during the post war years. The maker mark is CKL64 indicating manufacture by Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 3132.  On this helmet our Certificate of Authenticity and Lifetime Guarantee will be limited to the shell, liner, paint and the Heer decal.

M1935 Heer Single Decal German Helmet

This is an authentic M1935 Heer Single Decal German helmet.   This Heer German helmet retains around 65% of the war time applied field over-paint.  The exterior has areas of paint loss in which the original apple green parade paint is exposed.  The Split pin rivets are fully intact and are cleary original to the helmet.   This German helmet has the original aluminum reinforced M1931 liner typically found in the helmets issued between 1938-1940.  The band size 57 and is date stamped 1938.   The liner leather is in good overall condition and is just missing the drawstring.  The helmet does have its original aluminum buckled chinstrap.  The strap was shortened by the soldier during the war, which was fairly common practice.  The Heer decal rates around at 70% with typical field wear.  The helmet is an ET64 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 3971.  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1935 Heer German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

M1942 Heer Single German Helmet - Named to Oberleutnant Krohn

This is a nice solid original M1942 Heer Single Decal "Named" German Helmet.  This WWII German helmet retains around 85-90% of its original dark green factory paint.  The helmet has its original and correct M1931 zinc galvanized steel liner.   The original pins are present and are fully intact.  The original steel banded M31 liner is present and is in good overall condition with stiffness found with the pigskin liners.  The liner has the original drawstring which is in condition commensurate with the liner.  The German soldier's name, Oblt. Krohn is nicely written and dated in the liner leather.  The original chinstrap is present and is in good overall condition but it is somewhat stiff.   The ET type Heer decal rates at 90% or better.  The shell is maker marked ET66 indicating manufacture by Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 2316.  The rear skirt also has the German Oberleutnant's name painted in dark red.  The red paint shows a lot of age and patina and I certainly believe it to be period done as well.   The same red paint is on the two front rivet pins as well as a small spot on the left lower side.  I am not sure why it was done, but I do believe it is from the period as well.  Overall, a nice solid Officer named German combat helmet!  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M42 German helmet comes with our Certificate of Authenticity and Lifetime Guarantee.

M1935 Luftwaffe Two Color Camouflaged German Helmet

This is an authentic M1935 Luftwaffe Camouflaged German helmet.  This is certainly a piece that did not sit out the war!  This WWII Luftwaffe German helmet retains around 40-50% of the field applied camouflaged paint.   The camo paint is tan and green.   The helmet also appears to have had a field gray over-paint before the camouflaged paint.   The exterior displays quite a bit of paint loss as a result of heavy field use especially in the dome area.   The Split pin rivets are original to the helmet and fully intact.  This German helmet has the correct M1931 reinforced aluminum liner and is dated 1938 and is size 54.  The liner leather is in good overall condition with the original drawstring being present.  There is a name written in the leather but it's not legible.  The helmet has a 1939 dated chinstrap.   The strap has red dye which is typical of straps reissued to Norway during the post war years.  Apparently the strap has been added to the helmet during the post war years.  The early first pattern Luftwaffe decal is peeking out from under the camo paint in areas.   The National Colors decal is present and also peeking through the camo paint.  The helmet is an ET62 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 3655.  The mysterious "S" is stamped above the lot number.   This has been seen on a number of early ET helmets.   I am not sure what this S represented.  Overall, just a great looking, "been there, done that" Luftwaffe Camouflaged helmet.  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1935 Luftwaffe German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

Early WWII US Army M1917A1 Combat Helmet - Named  to Kirchman, 447th Ordnance Division - 70th Infantry Division

This is a great example of the early WWII US M1917A1 helmet.   The model 1917A1 was a slightly modified version of the WWI helmet that was utilized from 1917 until 1939.  In 1939 the helmet received a more modern liner systejm and canvas chinstrap.   This helmet remained in use from 1939 until early 1942.  The exterior retains most of the original olive drab rough texture paint.  The original leather liner is intact and is in nice overall condition.  The leather liner has the name of the US soldier written in ink and it reads, "BVD. Kirchman, 447th Ordnance Division along with his serial number.   The leather liner also has "44th- O, MacDill Field, Tampa, FLA written in pen.   It should be noted that the 447th Ordnance was an anti-aircraft unit attached to the 70th Infantry Division.  The 70th was deployed to the European Theatre of Operations and saw action from the Ardennes campaign to the final Rhineland campaign.  The helmet retains the original sewn on canvas chinstraps with the brass hardward.  The name "Kirchmann" is stenciled on the strap as well.  The name "Kirchman" is also nicely stenciled in the the rear.  Overall, this is a great example of a very difficult to find early WWII helmet in its original configuration.  As with all our WWII helmets, this US M1917A1 helmet comes with our Certificate of Authenticity and Lifetime Guarantee.
