M1935 Heer Single Decal German Helmet

WWII M1917 Austrian Heer Helmet CLICK HERE  to see more pictures

M1917 Heer Double Decal Transitional Austrian Helmet

This is a great looking authentic M1917 Austrian Heer helmet.   This is a nice example of the WWI M1917 being reissued for use during the early Third Reich era.  The exterior retains 90% or better of the early lighter green paint used during the early TR days.   There are some slight dents in the dome area (see pic).  All three split pins are present.  The front pins are clearly original and match the exterior paint.  The rear pin is black and is possibly a replacement.   The pins are missing the washers.  It's impossible to say if the washers were left off during liner installation or during the post war years.  The liner band is size 66/59 which is a larger size as the shell is size 64.  Therefore, it's entirely plausible that the soldier did a field refit.  The liner does appear to be the original liner as there is green paint that matches the shell paint on the liner band as well as you would expect to see an early single band 1935-1937 liner in this helmet.   The liner leather is in good overall condition with some separation along the rear seam and dark stains along the front.  The original drawstring is present and is in good condition.  The original aluminum buckled strap is present and is in fair condition.  The strap does have one area with dark staining and dryness.  This area needs to be handled with care to prevent breakage.  The early gray lined Heer decal looks fantastic great and rates at 95% with several light scuffs.  The Tricolor is the early round bottom type and it rates at 95% or better as well.  Overall, just a super looking Austrian Transitional helmet!  As with all our helmets, this M1917 Austrian Heer helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

M1935 Heer "Over-paint" German Helmet

This is a really neat combat experienced M1935 Heer Over-paint German helmet.   This Heer German helmet retains 80% of the original field applied dark green paint and has a great overall "been there, done that" look. The Split pin rivets are fully intact and are original to the helmet.   This German helmet has the original aluminum reinforced M1931 liner typically found in the helmets issued between 1938-1940.  The band size 59 and is date stamped 1938.   The liner leather is in good overall condition with typical wear and staining from field use.   The original drawstring is present and is in condition commensurate with the liner.   The inner dome area does have an acceptance stamp dated 1938.  The original chinstrap is present and is in good overall condition.  The long end of the strap has been shortened which was fairly common practice among the soldiers.  This helmet is a double decal piece.  The Heer decal is peeking through in one area.  The Tricolor is also peeking through in an area of paint loss.  The helmet is a desirable NS66 indicating manufacture by the Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, Schwerte, Germany.   The lot number is D192 indicating an early produced NS M1935.  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1935 Heer German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

This is a good solid M1935 Heer Double Decal German helmet.   This Heer German helmet retains 80% of the original pre-war parade paint.   The exterior does have some typical paint loss and slight surface rust.  The Split pin rivets are fully intact and are original to the helmet.   This German helmet has the original aluminum reinforced M1931 liner typically found in the helmets issued between 1938-1940.  The band size 54 and is date stamped 1939.   The liner leather appears to have dry rotted due to poor storage conditions.   There are remnants of the original chinstrap, also suffering from dry rot. The inner dome area does have a 1938 acceptance stamp.  The "ET" type Heer decal looks super and rates at 95% with nice lacquer toning.  The Tricolor rates at 80% with some typical field wear.  The helmet is an ET62 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 4587.  Overall, a great looking helmet just in need of some new "old" leather.   As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1935 Heer German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

M1940 Luftwaffe Camouflaged Single Decal German Helmet - Veteran Bringback

This is a great looking  M1940 SD Luftwaffe German helmet.  The helmet retains 80-85% of the original camouflaged paint.   The helmet has a beautiful color and pattern.   The camo is tan and a lighter green color which is most unusual.  The Split pin rivets are fully intact and are clearly original to the helmet.  This German helmet has the correct steel banded M1931 liner.   The liner band is size 58.  The liner leather is in nice solid condition with the original drawstring present.  The liner has typical stains from field use.  The second pattern Luftwaffe decal rates at 60%.  The decal area appears to have had the camo paint cleaned off.  It's hard to say when this would have occurred, could have been during the war or in the early post war years.  The helmet is a desirable SE66, indicating manufacture by the Sachsische Emaillier u. Stanzwerke, Lauter, Germany.  The lot number is 31444.  This helmet was brought back by 3rd US Army Veteran Nicholas Genito.  Genito served in the European Theatre of Operations.   I picked this helmet up from the family back in 2007.  Overall, just a beautiful example of the German camouflaged combat helmet.   As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1940 Luftwaffe German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

M1935 Luftwaffe Two Color Camouflaged German Helmet

This is an authentic M1935 Luftwaffe Camouflaged German helmet.  This is certainly a piece that did not sit out the war!  This WWII Luftwaffe German helmet retains around 40-50% of the field applied camouflaged paint.   The camo paint is tan and green.   The helmet also appears to have had a field gray over-paint before the camouflaged paint.   The exterior displays quite a bit of paint loss as a result of heavy field use especially in the dome area.   The Split pin rivets are original to the helmet and fully intact.  This German helmet has the correct M1931 reinforced aluminum liner and is dated 1938 and is size 54.  The liner leather is in good overall condition with the original drawstring being present.  There is a name written in the leather but it's not legible.  The helmet has a 1939 dated chinstrap.   The strap has red dye which is typical of straps reissued to Norway during the post war years.  Apparently the strap has been added to the helmet during the post war years.  The early first pattern Luftwaffe decal is peeking out from under the camo paint in areas.   The National Colors decal is present and also peeking through the camo paint.  The helmet is an ET62 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 3655.  The mysterious "S" is stamped above the lot number.   This has been seen on a number of early ET helmets.   I am not sure what this S represented.  Overall, just a great looking, "been there, done that" Luftwaffe Camouflaged helmet.  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1935 Luftwaffe German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.
