M1935 Heer Field Overpaint German Helmet

This is a classic example of the M1935 Field Over-painted Heer German helmet.   This Heer German helmet retains around 90%+ of the war time applied field over-paint.  The over-paint has a super texture with saw dust mixed into the paint.  There are a couple of areas where the original apple green parade paint is exposed.  The Split pin rivets are fully intact and are clearly original to the helmet.   This German helmet appears to have been refitted mid war with a zinc galvanized steel liner.  The band size 56 and is date stamp is not quite legible.  The liner leather is in good overall condition and the original drawstring is present.  The helmet has a WWII era chinstrap that appears to have been reissued to the Norwegian Army during the early post war as it has the dye typical of Norwegian reissue.  The strap has been added recently for display purposes.  The over-paint exhibits some nice age cracking in which the Tricolor decal is peeking through.   There is also evidence of the Heer decal underneath the over-paint.  The helmet appears to be an ET64 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany. Both the maker marks and lot number are painted over.  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1935 Heer German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

M1940 Heer Single Decal Camouflaged German Helmet

This is a good solid combat seasoned M1940 Heer Single Decal Camouflaged German helmet.   This WWII German helmet retains 75% of the original classic Normandy pattern camouflaged paint with a tan base, with red and green spray.  The split pin rivets are period pins but have been installed during the post war era.  The liner also appears to be a period liner that has been installed during the post war years as well.  The M31 liner is in poor condition.  This certainly is a helmet that would be worth finding an appropriate period liner to install for display purposes.   There is a good solid aluminum buckled chinstrap that is definitely a period strap.  The Heer decal has been liberated at some point.  The helmet is an ET62 indicating manufacture by the Eisenhuttenwerke firm in Thale, Germany.   The lot number is 768.  Overall, a great looking camouflaged helmet.  As with all our WWII German helmets, this M1940 Heer German helmet comes with our Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity which in this case will be limited to the shell and the camouflaged paint.
