WWII United States Army Ike Jacket - US Army Service  Forces - Staff Sergeant Rank

The US Army Ike Jackets were really popular among the US Servicemen during WWII.   This is a good solid example of the short waist Ike jacket in untouched, estate fresh condition.   This jacket comes out of a West Virginia estate sale and is a good overall jacket.   The jacket is made from wool and has the original US Army Service Forces shoulder flash.   The left sleeve has the original Staff Sergeant Chevron.  The lapels have the original US Army & Infantry Collar dogs.   The maker label is not present on the interior of the jacket.   The jacket does have a size 40R tag.   All of the original and correct buttons are present.   One of the snaps on the waist band just needs some re-stitching.   There is one hole on the back of the waist band and a hole in the sleeve.  Both of which can be repaired.  The silk liner is in nice condition and has "S-8634" stamped in the liner.   Overall condition of the jacket is very nice.  This item is 100% correct to the WWII period and comes with our Written Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

WWII United States Army 29th Infantry Division Ike Jacket - Tech 4 - Bronze Star Winner

The timing of offering this great 29th Infantry Division Ike Jacket is appropriate with the upcoming 69th Anniversary of D-Day.    The 29th Infantry Division was instrumental in the initial D-Day landings in Normandy on June 6th, 1944.   The 29th ID landed on Omaha Beach and suffered heavy casualties.   This is a nice example of an Ike Jacket attributed to the famed 29th Infantry Division.   The jacket is made from wool and features the original 29th Infantry Division Shoulder Flash.   The sleeves both have the original Technical 4 (Tech Sergeant) Chevrons.   The left sleeve has the original and correct overseas bars.   The five bars represent two and a half year of overseas service.  The lapels have the original US Army & Infantry Collar dogs.   In addition, the jacket features the original "Ruptured Duck" above the right breast pocket.   The original medal bars are present, and indicate award of the European Campaign medal, the Bronze Star medal, the Europe Victory medal, and the WWII Victory medal.  The maker label indicates manufacture by Franklin Clothes, Inc.   It is somewhat ironic that the manufacture date of the Ike Jacket was June 6, 1944.   The jacket does have a size 38L tag.   All of the original and correct buttons are present.   There are only a couple of slight holes,  one below the left breast pocket and one on the lower left sleeve.   The rayon lining is in nice condition.   Overall condition of the jacket is super nice.   This item is 100% correct to the WWII period and comes with our Written Lifetime Guarantee and Certificate of Authenticity.

SHIPPING

Items will be shipped after the check clears for items paid with personal checks.

Shipping will be handled on a quote basis.  Generally we use UPS for domestic as the tracking is superior and the service very reliable.  We can  offer FedEx & USPS shipping as well.  For small items we normally use USPS Priority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation.

International shipping is also on a quote by quote basis.  I will ship to any country that shipping is available.   Be advised that if you are in a banned country, the risk for customs seizure is yours.  For International shipments I recommend using USPS Express International Mail as it can be tracked.  EMS is more expensive, however lesser services with the US Postal Service put you at risk for loss as the tracking capabilities are limited.  For the safest and best tracking as well as the fastest transit time, I recommend United Parcel Service, International Door to Door Service.  For shipments with low value declared without proper insurance, WW2GermanHelmets.com cannot accept liability for loss or damage.
