Issue #19 MAX Show 2011 Recap  - Pittsburgh PA (Monroeville Convention Center)

Good day History buffs & fans of WW2GermanHelmets.com.    I finally grabbed a few moments to blog about the recent MAX show in Pittsburgh.   What a whirlwind 3 day show it was!!!    Time always goes by so fast at the shows.  I had a number of customers new and old come by and visit during the show and I have to tell you that is by far the best part about the show.   Being able to meet the folks that drive the WW2GermanHelmets.com business is simply awesome.    Every year things are getting better and better around WW2GermanHelmets.com.   We are going into our 7th year of operation and thanks to you guys, our customers, our growth continues at 20% or better every year!    The energy of the website has been tremendous, and the great WWII artifacts that continue to come literally out of the woodwork continues to amaze me.    I never thought making a living could be so much fun!    Here are some pictures from the show:

My wife Karen provided some much needed help at the Show!       Our Son, Trey got into the Spirit of the show & had a blast!         Talk about decking the Halls!!!!   Tons of great Militaria!!!

Karen & Trey holding down the table while I cruise the show.      Noted collector & friend Russ Hamilton stopped by to chat.          Susan with Victory Military always has a smile for show goers!

This year I was joined at the show by my wife Karen and my youngest son Trey.   Karen working the WW2GermanHelmets.com table allowed me to get out and circulate around the show.   I love to get out and see what all is out there on the show floor as well as mingle.   Overall, we had a really great show.  We sold a number of helmets as well as some small items.   We also picked up some really neat helmets for the website.   The traffic was perhaps a little soft and there did seem to be a lot of buying opportunities and the dealers seemed to be doing more wheeling & dealing with regard to negotiations.  We will be getting geared up for the show in Louisville in February 2012, known as Show of Shows.  I am still working on getting a table as I tend to be on the perpetual wait list for table.  But the SOS is one not to miss.   I will be there table or not.

In closing, be sure to check into the website often as great things are always coming down the pipe and you never know what is next!

Until next time....happy hunting!!!!
